Casablanca/Morocco – With a round of 64 Liam Johnston equalized the so far tournament best score of 64 that Jonas Kölbing and Antoine Schwartz had made on the first day of the 54 hole tournament. On the par 72 Prestigia Tony Jacklin golf course in Casablanca in Morocco the man from Dumfries in Scotland signed an impressive scorecard with 8 birdies on the back nine of the course. Only on the 15 hole, a par 3, he made par, on all other ocasions he played birdies.

And with another birdie on the 5th hole and a bogey on hole No. 7 Johnston completed his round of 8 under par what made him move up from the 25th Position to third place on the leaderboard.

As it turns out the Palmeraie course is the more difficult challenge at this two course tournament in Morocco this week. Antoine Schwartz and Jonas Kölbing who had brilliant rounds of 64 on the first day of the tournament on the Tony Jacklin course equally scored rounds of 70 on day 2 on the Palmeraie course.

A total of 52 players made the cut (+1). The final round of the third event of the 2018 Pro Golf Tour season will be played on the Prestigia Tony Jacklin course on Tuesday with players teeing off from 9 a.m. local time. The last group starts at 10:30 a.m.
